Manufacturing Days at CI

CI is hosting Manufacturing Day events on October 13th and 21st.

Manufacturing Day at CI is a day-long event that brings high school students to CI to explore all of the different careers in manufacturing. These events will give students exposure to real-world manufacturing processes and technologies, explore numerous career pathways and develop skills necessary for successful employment in the manufacturing industry. Students will have the opportunity to engage with CI staff and faculty during demonstrations of our equipment and processes. The tour will focus on computer control board programming, electrical systems design & assembly, metrology calibration & quality assurance testing. They will be introduced to welding & fabricating work on small-medium sized parts; a 5S activity demonstration; shipping/receiving activity; automation/productivity analysis; industrial maintenance work on small-large machinery; CNC machining center operation using coordinate measuring machine (CMM) technology for inspection purposes.

“In addition to learning about different careers within manufacturing through fun hands-on activities (including laser, press brake, and robotic welder demonstrations), students will also have the opportunity to meet with CI employees from all facets of the company who can answer questions about how they got their jobs and what they do on a daily basis,” says CI’s Corporate Recruiter, Ty Andrisek

Students from Franklin County High School and Harrison High School will be attending.

Students from Franklin County High School and Harrison High School will be attending the Manufacturing Days at CI. These students will be able to see the manufacturing processes and what it is like to work in the manufacturing environment. They will also get a glimpse into working at a company that has manufactured products since 1898.

CI staff will lead in demonstrations of our fiber laser system, new cobotic welder, and press brake.
